Several million South Africans are without a home, without food, unemployed and without shelter. Several million more are without hope, are weak, downtrodden, broken-hearted, and spiritually dry.
Four years ago we, at Bryanston Methodist Church, felt a desire and call to model Christ in a real way by releasing the kingdom of heaven through the Lazarus Ministry.
Beginning only with 15 people, Lazarus ministry now serves and ministers to 150 hungry souls every week.Our main focus addresses not only the issues of poverty and injustice, but gives hope to the lost through worship, prayer and study of the word of God to poor communities in a meaningful and satisfying way. Once a month food parcels, blankets, clothes and other donations are handed out to meet their physical needs.
When you step up to serve, God can use you in ways you never expected. Serving not only honours God, but also allows great relationships to develop.
