The Samaritan Prison Ministry Team
VOLUNTEERS.
We need volunteers who would be interested in stepping out if their comfort zone for Jesus Christ. This entails availing ones self to be a group facilitator in taking the Alpha program into leeuwkop Correctional center- Medium A and Medium C.
This is a very exiting and life changing experience for the residence as well as for the team that is going inside on Saturday mornings. This is a commitment to 13 Saturday mornings of seeing first hand God’s glory and power at work. There is a 2 training sessions which will equip you to go in.
This ministry is open to men and women and all go into the centers together. We go in for 2 hours from 9am to 11am. The discussion groups consist of 2 facilitators and 10 to 12 residences. We take in with us food which is donated for the inmates. The program starts off with some amazing praise and worship then there is a talk, which is followed by the food parcels, been handed out.
There after everyone breaks up into groups for the discussion time which is always fruitful. In closing we all get into a circle and finish up by singing ”Bind us together Lord”.
The guys are still meeting every month here at Galilee to fellowship and to report back on their business initiatives, to motivate and support each other.
